This workshop helps communities examine how individuals, peers, organizations, institutions, and systems work together to shape recovery outcomes. Through guided dialogue and ecosystem mapping, participants identify local strengths, uncover gaps, and develop strategies to strengthen collaboration and sustainable systems of care.
Ideal for: coalitions, public health teams, recovery organizations, campuses
Inspired by Jarmichael’s nationally recognized NATCON25 TED-style talk, this workshop explores how stigma, policy, and systems shape recovery outcomes. Participants reflect on how communities can “treat the soil” by cultivating environments where healing, equity, and better outcomes can take root.
Ideal for: recovery conferences, treatment providers, harm reduction
A hands-on session guiding participants through asset mapping to identify existing recovery supports, service gaps, and opportunities for collaboration. Participants leave with a clearer understanding of their local recovery landscape and practical steps to strengthen cross-sector coordination.
Ideal for: municipalities, coalitions, campus communities, recovery initiatives

Community Workshops can be delivered as stand-alone sessions or paired with a keynote presentation for conferences, summits, and community initiatives.
Workshops are customized for each community and typically range from 1–4 hours depending on the goals of the event.
